Happy Easter from Monster. He had a great time getting a bath and de-shed from Royal Rover Grooming in Newberg and they took this adorable photo of him while he was there. He smelled amazing and was so soft and fluffy when he left. Not a paid post. I am just really happy with the service I received and want to support other local small businesses.
Speaking of local small businesses, I updated some art at Critter Cabana Newberg . There are some great new pieces there. I was there for the First Friday Artwalk, = It was a very slow evening. I think between our lingering winter weather and it being Easter Weekend people just were not out and about. Also when people think of the ArtWalk they think galleries and not necessarily the local pet store. However I was one of three vendors that were that evening. Greg was there, he is autistic but he makes cool animal art and then his aunt photographs it and then they make cards. Greg rescues reptiles and the proceeds of his sales helps to support those creatures. The cards are very cool and worth checking out. There were also locally made dog treats by Tyler's Treasures. I purchased some for Peanut and Monster made from oats, banana, and natural peanut butter. They were a big hit. Critter Cabana is worth checking out on the Artwalk.

Someone asked me recently about doing a portrait on a t-shirt. I gave them a couple of options. The first option was paint to paint directly on the shirt. Most people don't realize that acrylic is actually a plastic. They also make a fabric medium for acrylic paint for the purpose of painting on clothing. I decided to experiment the other day with on old sweater. I have since washed it to make sure the design would stay in tact and it is fine. I did not have fabric medium so it is a bit stiff, but it is wearable and looks good. I picked an Oregon Swallowtail Butterfly because I wanted wings but also something that represented the local terrain.
Option 2 would be for me to do the portrait, photograph it, then turn it into a design and have it printed on a shirt. Which I am currently doing with a couple of designs. Pictured below my daughter sporting the "Lady Pug", and Myself Sporting the "Stay Golden" shirt. Click photos to go to store.
I am using a print on demand printer to produce these for me. I ordered 6 shirts on April 1st and I received them all on April 6th. I am really happy with the quality and the color of my designs. I hope to add more candid photos soon. I realize my selfie isn't the best but I wanted to show you guys what these really look like. I am so happy with them. The shirts are soft. The colors look great. You can see every brush stroke and drawing line in my art.
I do not have a set price for creating a shirt design. Graphic design is not my forte. However email me if I have done a portrait for you and you want to look at some shirts or other items. The printer does mugs, mouse pads, bags, etc. A marker design like the "Chihuahua" shirt doesn't take a lot of time so I am sure we could come up with some reasonable. Email me at fureveryoursart@gmail.com to discuss.
Wishing you a wonderful day,
-Annie
